Music Practitioner

I’'ve been a Music Practitioner for over a decade with many years of group based work prior to that. I work mostly with young people who are hard to reach, young offenders and young people in care and/or supported by Social Work.

As well as facilitating workshops, I’'ve been managing the Edinburgh Youth Music Forum since 2011. The EYMF works with Music Practitioners to explore, develop and share good and next practice.

I also lecture in Community Music at Edinburgh College as well as for other academic institutions.

Finally, I give talks and trainings in a range of settings. I never know what to expect!

I hold an MSc in Community Music from the University of Edinburgh and am on the verge (!) completing my application to undertake a PhD with York St john University.

For more information you can see my CV/Portfolio of examples.
